I am currently trying to solve a mixed parametric trig/algebraic equation with respect to x, so I can satisfy the f(x)-only requirement. It would be so much easier to just use the parametric form. And by the way, Admin, here is an additional material to your disappointment: we can't reference dimensions within f(x) for curves. I almost feel like doing something about it. Thoughts of API keep coming to mind... Eugene I feel your pain regarding the need for true parametric curve representation.

Unfortunately, due to the nature of the SW Doc Manager, an interrupt in mid-folder is not possible. I've tried. I’m already getting comments & suggestions about being able to interrupt the search. Comment on 2007 sp5.0 = big trouble by fcsuper http://esoxrepublic.com/blog/2008/06/02/2007-sp50-big-trouble/comment-page-1/#comment-4 fcsuper Sat, 12 Jul 2008 17:39:20 +0000 http://esoxrepublic.com/blog/2008/06/02/2007-sp50-big-trouble/#comment-4 I remember something about SP5 having issues and that SW 2007 SP4 is prolly the most stable SW version around right now. Of course, it is also the same version when they introduced the current SNL, which recently brought me no end of headaches when trying to run the 2009 beta. From a "temperamental industrial designer", I'd recommend skipping the first six minutes of the propaganda. Perhaps this will kick SW in the pants a bit. Apple--OK, I'm not nearly as temperamental as those guys or the black T-shirt wearing Frog guys. But I am wearing a black T-shirt. Nice. I believe Apple is one UGS's biggest customers. UGS has a good system for handling complex surfaces, but I agree that from the example vidoes, it doesn't look as though ST handles complex surfaces with the same easy as prismatic features.
